Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-02-15
Friendrot is built for kids and operated through a parent or guardian account. We keep data collection minimal, use it to run and improve the product, and design the experience to be kid-safe (no ads, no third-party ad tracking).
Who this policy applies to
- Parents/Guardians: the account holder who signs in and controls profiles.
- Kids: profiles created and managed by the parent/guardian under the account.
What we collect
- Parent account information: when you sign in with Google, we receive identifiers needed to authenticate you (such as a Google account ID) and basic account details like your name and email address.
- Kid profile information: a display name and birthdate (used to support age-appropriate experiences and progress).
- Gameplay and progress data: game results, progress, levels, rewards (GoldRot), and items collected in the shop.
- Device and usage data (basic): information needed for reliability and security (for example: timestamps, error logs, and general app usage events).
- Session and security data: cookies or similar technologies used to keep you signed in and protect the service from abuse.
What we do not do
- No third-party ad networks.
- No selling personal information.
- No building advertising profiles for kids.
- No targeted advertising.
How we use information
- To run the product: sign-in, kid profiles, saving progress, and providing rewards and collections.
- To improve Friendrot: diagnosing bugs, improving performance, and tuning gameplay balance.
- To keep it safe: detecting abuse, preventing fraud, and protecting accounts and kid profiles.
- To communicate with parents: service-related messages (like important updates or support replies).
Parent controls
Parents control kid profiles from the Parent Dashboard. This includes creating profiles, editing profile details, managing access, and deleting profiles and associated data. Friendrot is designed so parents remain in control.
Data retention
We keep information only as long as needed to operate Friendrot, comply with legal obligations, and maintain security. Parents can delete kid profiles and associated data through the Parent Dashboard. When an account or profile is deleted, we remove or de-identify data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to keep certain records for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
Sharing and service providers
We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information with trusted service providers who help us operate Friendrot (for example: authentication, hosting, and analytics strictly for product performance and reliability). These providers are required to protect information and use it only for providing services to Friendrot.
Cookies
Friendrot uses cookies (or similar technologies) for essential purposes such as sign-in sessions and security. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Children’s privacy
Kid profiles are created and controlled by a parent/guardian. Friendrot is designed to minimize the collection of personal information and avoid advertising-based tracking. If you are a parent/guardian and believe a kid profile contains information it should not, you can edit or delete it from the Parent Dashboard.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice in the app. Your continued use of Friendrot after an update means you accept the updated policy.
